Spiral Tunnel - An engineering feat: a tunnel was blasted through the mountain to allow trains to go down the mountain at much safer 2% grade (original track ran at 4%). The trains are so long that in this picture, the front of the train is coming out below its tail end that still has to enter the tunnel. Train schedules are irregular so you are really lucky if you manage to see one. Beware: you do not want to spend a long time waiting for one as the smell from the public toilets next to the viewing platform is very pungent!
