And this is a photo of downtown Vancouver, taken from the opposite side of the water. We are sitting on Kits beach in trendy Kitsilano. In the background are the majestic North Shore Mountains. Navigating in Vancouver for the newcomer or visitor is fairly easy: the one rule to remember is that the mountains are always north. The only issue is that when the fog is too thick to see the mountains, in which case, that tip is useless!
